The Stone Paper®
Mineral paper, produced without trees, without water, without chlorine and without contaminating chemicals
1. Material Stone Paper ® is a combination of Calcium Carbonate (80%) with a small amount (20%) of non-toxic (PE – Polyethylene) resins to create a strong sustainable substrate.
PE acts as a binder for Calcium Carbonate. The symbiosis of these materials results in a product that strongly resists both water and breakage.
2. Process of manufacture and product in a favor of the environment. The process of manufacture of Stone Paper® is of last generation.
It is an eco-friendly manufacturing process and the most modern, water is not used and no toxic gas is emitted. It is also important to note that in the manufacture of Stone Paper® no chlorine, acid, or strong bases are used at all.
3. Energy consumption Stone Paper® has a clean production process that reduces energy consumption and CO2 emissions.
During the production process the energy consumption of EmanaGreen represents approximately 50% of what is consumed by manufacturing conventional paper. Refer to the table below to check the power consumption rates.

4. Reduction of CO2 emissions. When Stone Paper is burned, CO2 emissions are 50 % lower than those emitted with normal paper combustion.
Degrading
Stone Paper® is degradable. 200 μm thick Stone Paper has been shown to degrade over a period of 6 to 9 months when exposed directly to sunlight and moisture.
Stone Paper® will not degrade in your store or home while you stay inside.
New applications and versions of EmanaGreen are already being developed that have UV blocking agents so it can be used equally on the outside.
Recycling process
Stone Paper® can be recycled by turning used paper into fine pellets. We now recycle Stone Paper® waste and leftovers in Asia, used to manufacture Stone Paper® that will be printed in solid colors. In this process, water is not used either. The simplicity of Stone Paper® recycling reduces waste of resources.
For these reasons, Stone Paper®has the prestigious Silver Cradle to Cradle Certification from MBDC.
